Summer Math School for High School Students

Albany, NY, July 2016

Ivana Alexandrova, an assistant professor of mathematics at SUNY Albany, will lead a four week summer math school for high school students during the month of July 2016.

Any student at any level who is interested in mathematics is welcome to participate.

The exact dates and meeting times will be determined to best suit the participants� schedules.

Ivana Alexandrova holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley. She is originally from Bulgaria, where she attended a highly selective and rigorous mathematics high school and participated in and won a number of prestigious mathematics olympiads and competitions. She enjoys sharing her mathematical knowledge with anyone interested in hearing about it and is looking forward to working with you this summer. She wants to share with you the problems that have kept her interested in mathematics from an early age, that have propelled her to excel in math, and that have helped her and her high school friends prepare for successful careers in fields that use mathematics.
