Official Inquiries into Police Corruption

This project will examine official inquiries into incidents of police corruption in English-speaking countries from the late 1800's to the present. It will summarize and analyze the findings with respect to three topics: 1) Nature of alleged corruption; 2) Factors facilitating corruption; and 3) Recommendations for remediation. Just over 50 official inquiries have been identified. A definitive list will be compiled after further bibliographical searching.
