The Office of Environmental Sustainability participates in UAlbany’s commitment to community engagement. Specifically, we seek to increase awareness by reaching out to the surrounding community and other institutions to develop events and programs related to environmental issues. For a full list of the Universities’ other initiatives in this area, please visit UAlbany's Community Connections page.
Our office is always receptive in participating in events and activities hosted by other organizations. We have made presentations and provided informational materials at various organizations including: Doane Stuart, Girls Inc., Woestina Elementary, Evening Branch of the Women's Alliance (EBWA), Albany Stratton VA Hospital, and the Boys and Girls Club of Albany.
Our groups and the office have made donations to organizations such as the Albany Pine Bush Preserve, Northeast Regional Food Bank, The City Mission, USCRI, First Lutheran Church of Albany, Peppertree Animal Rescue, and Goodwill Stores.
