The Laser Capture Microdissection Facility provides an important tool in Molecular analysis at the DNA, RNA and protein levels. Laser Capture Microdissection increases cell-specificity from the tissues being analyzed, providing a new dimension to the analysis of gene function. Our LCM Facility can capture several hundreds of cells per session. We are equipped with the Autopix which is the recently released automated version of the manual PixCell II. In addition, our set-up allows us to streamline the samples obtained with our Microarray, Genomics and Proteomics Core Facilities. Therefore, depending on what the researcher wants, the captured cells can be processed with the specifications needed so that they can be immediately analyzed by our Microarray, Genomics or Proteomics Facility.
