Art Department Programs
The Art Department offers degrees in Studio Art and Art History. The Studio Art program is dedicated to creating visual literacy in their students, cultivating students' working comprehension of visual principles, and inspiring and nurturing developing artists. The Studio Art program features courses of study leading to the Bachelor of Arts, the Master of Arts, and the Master of Fine Arts. The Art History Program is a faculty-initiated major which seeks to introduce students to a wide range of historical periods and cultures, and to develop major's skills for critically evaluating works of art within their historical and cultural contexts. The Art Department also offers minors in Art and Art History.
