Instructions for Master Reset of Cell Phones:

If you should receive a message on your cell phone that reads "Restricted Service" you must perform a master reset using the instructions listed below. If the problem persists please call NEXTEL Customer Service at 888-566-6111.

  1. [Menu] key.
  2. [Down Scroll] to Settings.
  3. Press key under Select or OK Nav button.
  4. [Down Scroll] to Advanced.
  5. Press key under Select or OK Nav button.
  6. [Down Scroll] to Connectivity.
  7. Press key under Select or OK Nav button.
  8. [Down Scroll] to Master Reset.
  9. Press key under Select or OK Nav button.
    • Enter Security Code displays.
  10. Press [0] key 6 times to enter 000000.
    • If security code has been changed enter new security code, if customer does not remember it, see Sales & Service Locator and refer customer to Nextel Direct Service Center to retrieve code.
    • Search by 'Nextel Sales & Service' or 'Nextel Service only'; Direct Service Centers are indicated by a red 'N'.
  11. Press key under OK.
    • Master Reset displays.
  12. Press key under Yes.
    • Caution See Manual displays.
  13. Press key under OK; phone will power off.
