Ten Broeck Hall Rehabilitation

Roof installation on Ten Broeck Hall requires an adhesive to be sprayed in order to secure the roofing membrane to the roof deck of the building. There will be some over spray from the roof down to the ground.

To prevent spray mist on cars, parking will not be permitted opposite the staging site .

We will be replacing the existing fire alarm system in Waterbury Hall with a new totally addressable system. There will be minor asbestos abatement with this project.

Domestic Hot Water Service Replacements

Contractors and the University Support Staff will be shutting off the Domestic Water and Hot Water to the PE building to allow reconfiguration of the piping. During the shutdown, there will be no Domestic Water and Hot Water available in the building.

Domestic Hot Water Service Replacements (Revised)
RACC & PE BUILDINGS

Due to changing weather conditions, the timeframe for the shutdown has been revised to March 25 and March 26.

Contractor to Install Hi Temp Tap Valves at PE Most Affected - No domestic hot water for Physical Education. Also Heat in Physical Education- (By closing outside air dampers. The building generally will remain reasonably comfortable.) RACC Heat - air handlers will circulate air in the building to keep it warm, but at a lower temperature.
There would be no loss of Domestic Hot Water at the RACC.

Site Utilities Study - Hydrant Flow Testing

The consultant in coordination with the campus staff will be performing hydrant flow testing. The tests will aid in the capacity assessment of the campus domestic water system.

While this work should have minimal, if any, affect on the University community; testing may affect color of domestic water. If you experience this condition; please contact the Customer Service Call Center at 2-3480.

Construct Athletic Artificial Turf Fields - Phase02 (Lacrosse)

Construction of a steel-frame bleacher seating complex with press box adjacent to the existing artificial turf lacrosse field at the University’s athletic complex. Construction shall include but is not limited to; sitework for the new seating complex, installation of a new sanitary line system, construction of new landscape features and surfaces, new electrical services, plantings and other landscaping, and site infrastructure supporting this work and future expansion.

All buildings in and around the site, including the lacrosse and field hockey fields, will remain operational throughout the construction period.

$4 million plan for the Entry Plaza, the main gateway of the University for visitors and the campus community. Plans for the three-acre space call for a park-like setting with more green space, ornamental trees and gardens, fountains and bench seating.

Ten Broeck Hall Building Renovation
Ten Broeck Hall

This building will undergo a complete gut renovation and receive all new electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, new roof, and windows. The building will be converted back to a residence hall and is estimated to be ready for students for the Fall of 2008.

There will be NO PARKING in front of Ten Broeck Hall during renovation. Please see the attached drawing for details of the site staging area.
