How to Search the Archives of the Electronic Discussion on Group Facilitation

Purpose: To find and retrieve an old post that you wish you had saved, or find previous postings on a topic of interest to you.

Send an email message to LISTSERV@ALBANY.EDU
In the body of the message type:
SEARCH XXXX IN GRP-FACL FROM YR/MO/DD to YR/MO/DD

Where XXXX is a word that you want to search for. It is not necessary to include the dates ("FROM YR/MO/DD to YR/MO/DD"). However, you may want to limit your search to a specific time period (the archives go back to February 1996). To do so include in the search request the dates you want to include as shown above.Note that the date format conforms to international standards (year/month/date).

The LISTSERV will respond with a list of posts that contain the word you searched, instructions on how to retreive the full posts, and a brief summary of the posts (so that you can better decide if you want all or only some of them).

Here is an example of a search and the response I received.
