The main focus of my work is why change initiatives often do not get implemented as desired. Reasons for imlpementation delays and failure which I have researched so far include resistance, commitment, and inertia. Furthermore, I looked at the effects of information, incentives, and participation on change. After doing this initial research, my aim is now to narrow things down to an interesting dissertation topic that includes organizational behavior and theory, system dynamics, and a case.
