Group Model Building David Andersen and George Richardson (in absentia) Abstract For the past several years, George Richardson and David Andersen have been working with Colin Eden and Fran Ackermann from Strathclyde University on a series of techniques for crafting feedback-rich strategies with client groups in real time. These approaches combine system dynamics modeling with Eden and Ackermann’s strategic journey-making using Group Explorer. This presentation will report on recent developments in that work. Because George is away in Galsgow working with Colin and Fran, David will present a talk based on two conference presentations that the four of us have prepared over this summer. The third piece of the agenda is not related to the first two (at least directly). In the third part of the DAPS talk, David Andersen will open up a discussion on what are the Decision and Policy Sciences at UAlbany? Part I: ScriptsMap: A Tool for Designing Multi-Method Strategy Workshops Part 2: Modelling the dynamics stakeholder reactions: a process for considering stakeholder responses, reactions and interactions when developing strategy Part 3: What are the Decision and Policy Sciences at UAlbany? A Call for a Discussion
