Assistant Professor Roxanna Moslehi Welcomed to the UAlbany Cancer Center

RENSSELAER, N.Y. (September 1, 2006) Dr. Roxanna Moslehi has recently joined the Gen*NY*Sis Center for Excellence as an Assistants professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. We are pleased to welcome Roxana Moslehi to the Cancer Research Center. She comes to us from the National Cancer Institute where she worked with scientists at the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics ongenetic and environmental causes of different types of cancer. Her earlier work with Drs. J.M. Friedman and Steven Narod focused particularly on how genetics affects breast and ovarian cancer incidence in different ethnic groups. As a cancer epidemiologist, Dr. Moslehi is interested in how our genetic makeup, interacting with environmental factors, contribute to our risk of getting cancer. Her appointment complements and expands our research capabilities and enhances our opportunities for collaboration
