Cassie is a licensed Zumba Instructor and student here at SUNY Albany. She began working for Campus Recreation this in the fall 2012. In 2011, she took her first Zumba class and was hooked on the energy so she decided to ditch the workout and join the party! After being a spectator and occasionally substituting for Zumba classes, Cassie decided to be a leader and get licensed so that she could share her excitement about Zumba with others. With her years of various dance experience, teaching a Zumba class only seemed right. Starting Zumba only led Cassie to explore other fitness programs, which led her to try and complete the Insanity workouts! When Cassie is not teaching Zumba, she likes to spend her time people watching, cooking, and reading to name a few.
Abigail is a Junior here at UAlbany and one of our newest instructors for Campus Recreation. She also holds the position of Program Assistant for all of Group Exercise. Abigail loves the uniqueness of cycling classes because you can challenge yourself as much (or as little) as you want! If you’re looking for a real butt-kicker, try out one of her classes and expect to be dripping in sweat. When Abigail is not teaching she spends her time partaking in several activities, such as; being an EMT for Five Quad, training for marathons and being an RA on Indian.

Greetings All! My name is Heidi Nicholls and I am a Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Anthropology here at Albany. This is my fourth semester working with Campus Rec as a Pilates Instructor and was the creator and instructor of the Bollywood Dance Fusion course. I was first introduced to Pilates through my dance training. I was a dance major as an undergraduate at Cleveland State University, captain of our Vikettes Dance Team, a principal member of the CSU Modern Dance Company, and Choreographer of the Bollywood Dance Troope RHDMiC Gomaal. I was also fortunate enough to have served the Cleveland Municipal School District's High Steppers and Cheerleaders, danced with the Cleveland Contemporary Dance Theater, CAVS and Rockers. Outside of dance and Pilates, I ride Hunter/Jumper, I enjoy backpacking and hiking, and love to plan, organize, and bring to life cultural events!
