Elana Gordis, Ph.D., Faculty/Project Director
Dr. Gordis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Southern California, where she was also a research professor prior to joining the faculty at the University at Albany. Bridget Szczypinski, M.A., Graduate Research Assistant
Bridget is currently a sixth year Ph.D. student in the clinical psychology program at the Univerity at Albany working on her dissertation.  She earned her B.S. in Biological Sciences & Psychology from Carnegie Mellon University and worked as a research associate at the J. Craig Venter Institute before earning her M.A. in Psychology from The College at Brockport, SUNY.

Stephanie Emhoff, M.A., Graduate Research Assistant
Stephanie is currently a fourth year Ph.D. student in the clinical psychology program at the University at Albany. She earned her B.S. in Psychology from Michigan State University prior to working as a study coordinator for the Michigan State University Twin Registry.


 

Cheryl Best, B.A., Graduate Research Assistant
Cheryl is currently a third year Ph.D. student in the clinical psychology program at the University at Albany. An Arizona native, she earned her B.A. in psychology from Harvard before spending two years as a residential counselor and clinical educator at the McLean Adolescent Acute Residential Treatment unit in Belmont, MA. Past experience also includes clinical research on Borderline Personality Disorder in female adults and social and cognitive functioning in individuals with schizophrenia.

   

Rae Drach, A.B., Graduate Research Assistant
Rae is currently a third year Ph.D. student in the clinical psychology program at the University at Albany. She earned her A.B. in Psychology and Certificate in Neuroscience from Princeton University, prior to working as a Post-Baccalaureate Research Assistant in a lab investigating socio-cognitive processes.

Rachel Clegg, B.S., Graduate Research Assistant
Rachel is currently a first year Ph.D. student in the clinical psychology program at the University at Albany. She earned her B.S. in Neuroscience from Union College prior to working as a Clinical Research Assistant in the Laboratory for Affective and Translational Neuroscience at McLean Hospital.

Christy Olezeski, Ph.D.
Dr. Olezeski graduated from the University at Albany with her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2010. She completed her predoctoral internship at Westchester Jewish Community Services and was a postdoctoral fellow in the Children and the Law Program at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School.  She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Yale School of Medicine.

Ari Rabkin, Ph.D.
Dr. Rabkin graduated from the University at Albany with his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2014. He completed his predoctoral internship at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center and postdoctoral fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychology at Akron Children's Hospital.Currently, Dr. Rabkin is a Pediatric Neuropsychologist at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH.

Melissa Lehrbach, M.A.
Melissa earned her M.A. in the clinical psychology program at the University at Albany in 2015. As a graduate student in the CAFE lab, Melissa was instrumental in building a relationship with the staff at the Mont Pleasant Boys and Girls Club in Schenectady.

Dr. Barry graduated from the clinical psychology program at the University at Albany in 2016 after completing a pre-doctoral internship at the Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Barry is a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Massachusetts Medical School Diabetes Center of Excellence.
