Ranking System for Pre-Health Advisory Committee
Below are the definitions of the University at Albany PHAC Ratings. We evaluate students on both their Academic credentials and Non-Academic credentials.
Outstanding:
A student who is recommended as OUTSTANDING has distinguished himself/herself in all areas of consideration. The outstanding category is reserved for very few candidates. A student recommended in this category has demonstrated potential to be a leader among his/her peers.
Strongly Recommended:
A student who is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED has distinguished himself/herself in all areas of consideration. This is an excellent student, a well-rounded individual and we completely support his/her candidacy. A student recommended in this category will make a superior health profession school student.
Recommended:
A student who is RECOMMENDED has demonstrated the ability to complete his/her studies and perform competently in the health care field. We support the candidacy.
Recommended With Reservation:
A student who is RECOMMENDED WITH RESERVATION has not yet proven sufficient ability to be competitive as a health professional school student. Deficiencies in at least one area of consideration have caused committee concern.
Not Recommended:
A student who is NOT RECOMMENDED has not shown sufficient preparation to compete successfully as a health profession school student. We do not support the candidacy.
