Volunteer Opportunities for Pre-Health Students

  • Participating in community activity (volunteerism) is important to admissions committees in all of the professional health care fields. Medicine is a service profession, and committees want to be sure that candidates have demonstrated their commitment to the less fortunate in our society.  In addition to serving your community, volunteering with a local hospital or EMT Service gives you the opportunity to experience the medical field first-hand. This will help to solidify your desire to attend medical school while building upon your knowledge and skills.
