| GENERAL EDUCATION
Because the number of general education courses
a student is required to fulfill, depends on New York State Regents
Exam grades, a student may have to take summer school courses in order
to complete all the General Education Requirements before moving to
Boston University’s Goldman School of Dentistry. Please note, however,
that a minimum of ninety credits must be completed at the University
at Albany.
Writing Requirement:
You must complete two "writing intensive" courses. The first is BIO
110F. The second must be an upper level (300 or above) writing
intensive course, typically a Biology major course with the "Z"
suffix.
Biology Major Courses:
In addition to BIO 110F, 111N, 212, and 365, you
must complete 21 credits of Biology major course work, including 3 lab
courses. It is strongly recommended that you choose from the following
list of courses to fulfill these requirements:
BIO 301 Cell Biology 3
BIO 302Z Cell Biology Lab 2
BIO 303 Developmental Biology 3
BIO 305 Developmental Biology Lab 2
BIO 309 Current Topics / Cell & Devel. 1
