Transferring credit from other colleges/universities to the University at Albany

If you want to take a course at another institution you must follow these steps.

1. Verify that you have not reached the maximum limit of transferable credits.

Maximum number of credits from another institution is 90 credits.

2. Verify that you are not repeating a course. 

You can check course equivalencies on the Transfer Equivalency Databank. 

If the school or course you are looking to take is not of the database, it still may be transferable but you should meet with your academic advisor for assistance.
