THIS PROGRAM DOES NOT LEAD TO A NY STATE INITIAL TEACHER CERTIFICATE IN TESOL. The TOEFL requirement for international applicants to the TESOL masters program is waived if the student has successfully completed 3 years of study in a degree program at a college or university in the U.S. and maintained a B or better average. Non-native speakers must have a minimum score of 600 on the paper-based, 100 on the internet-based, or 250 on the computerized-based TOEFL exam. An IELTS exam score of 7.0 is also acceptable in lieu of the TOEFL exam.

Students who have previously been convicted of a felony are advised that their prior criminal history may impede their ability to complete the requirements of certain academic programs and/or to meet licensure requirements for certain professions.
