Internships

Recognizing the importance of real world applications of academic study, many of the University’s graduate programs provide the opportunity for students to become practically engaged through enrollment in internships, practica, field courses and the like. Individuals interested in such opportunities should check with the individual program offices or departments regarding coordination, requirements and availability.

International students should also contact the Office of International Student Services for regulations concerning Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and Optional Practical Training (OPT) (https://www.albany.edu/isss/).

In addition, the following administrative offices at the University at Albany have indicated their interest in placing graduate students into internships. While these internships are not generally paid, they do offer students valuable administrative experience.
