A Dan 101 Elementary Danish I (3)

Beginner�s course that will emphasize the acquisition of grammatical structures and vocabulary through an active process of student participation; it will focus on communicative skills (speaking, reading, writing, and listening) and cultural knowledge. Students are expected to attend regularly and participate in all class activities. Prerequisite(s): for beginners, none.

A Dan 102 Elementary Danish II (3)

Continuation of A Dan 101 with emphasis on basic language skills for communication and on cultural aspects. Students expand their proficiency through independent work and active participation in class. Prerequisite(s): A Dan 101 or placement.

A Dan 397 Independent Study Danish (1-4)

Study of Danish by a student in an area of special interest not treated in courses currently offered. May be repeated with special departmental approval. Prerequisite(s): permission of instructor.
