Alumni Association Announces New Scholarship for School Spirit
The University at Albany Alumni Association is offering six scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students for the 2008-09 academic year, including a new scholarship recognizing school spirit.

Winter Break in Israel
For 35 University at Albany students, winter break will include a 10-day trip to Israel. The students, who depart Jan. 7., are sponsored by Taglit-Birthright Israel and Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life.

Van Orman Wins National Award
UAlbany doctoral student Kimberly Van Orman is one of 10 recipients nationwide of the K. Patricia Cross Future Leaders Award for 2008.

Scottsboro and Its Legacy Released
Distinguished Teaching Professor James R. Acker of the School of Criminal Justice has written a new book Scottsboro and its Legacy: The Cases that Challenged American Legal and Social Justice.

Litchford Honored
George B. Litchford, Jr., director of UAlbany�s Psychological Services Center, was recently elected as a distinguished member of the National Academies of Practice (NAP).
