School Psychology Program Earns Approval

The National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) has awarded full program approval to UAlbany’s School Psychology Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) program for a five-year term.

“This approval acknowledges that our well-constructed and comprehensive program aligns with NASP standards,” said School of Education Dean and Interim Provost Susan D. Phillips.

The Division of School Psychology is one of four divisions in the Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology in the School of Education. In addition to the CAS degree that prepares students for practice as a school psychologist, the division offers a Doctor of Psychology degree that prepares students to practice professional psychology.
