The Life Sciences Research Building at the University at Albany is a visionary investment in the future of both the University and of the State of New York, made possible through significant state support supplemented by private-sector funding.
Constance and Thomas D'Ambra launched the campaign for private support for the Life Sciences Research Initiative with a $1 million challenge grant in November 2001. Dr. D'Ambra, CEO of Albany Molecular Research, Inc., is chair of the campaign, which has raised nearly $6 million toward its goal of $20 million to support world-class programs, recruit new faculty, attract top students, and acquire new state-of-the-art technology.
