About

Keith Nuñez was born and raised in the Bronx. He is of Dominican descent and the oldest of six siblings. At a young age, he had to learn how to navigate being a first generation Latino and the only English speaker in his family. The desire to fly away from the Bronx, and to take the first steps to changing and enhancing his family's legacy, motivated him to go to college at SUNY Buffalo State. There, he earned his bachelor's degree in English and master's degree in higher education and student affairs administration.

Keith has been serving the underprivileged community for years and is able to foster meaningful connections with a wide range of individuals. He prides himself on his ability to nurture positivity in everyone he comes across and passion for giving his all to support their overall growth. Keith is an advocate for all students, especially EOP students, as he understands the tools people in his community need to succeed. He is an advocate of all individuals and communities, and strives to create a diverse and supportive culture here at the Educational Opportunity Program.

Our Culture

High Achieving

The school fosters an outstanding work ethic and our students are self-motivated, earning a mean GPA of 3.4. Half of our accounting students go to work for Deloitte, EY, KPMG, and PwC.

Opportunity

Our students participate in many career-building activities outside the classroom, including the annual New York Business Plan Competition, where they compete against other college entrepreneurs across the state for prize money and recognition.

Alumni Involvement

Our alumni connect directly with our students, mentoring prospective students, interns, and job applicants.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

The school is committed to providing a diverse and inclusive learning, living, and working environment that is free from inequality and discrimination. We promote diversity, equity and inclusion through coursework, programming, training, mentoring and supporting students from all backgrounds.
