Timothy "Julio" McLaughlin joined the faculty as a full-time lecturer in 2023. A former secondary level Social Studies and Literacy teacher, he has taught courses in human development, classroom assessment, and learning theory at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. His research and teaching focus on classroom learning and creativity, with an emphasis on constructivist approaches and the use of formative assessments. Outside the classroom, he is an avid cinephile, a baseball fan, enjoys nature walks, cooking, live music, travel, and spending time with family and friends.
