Project Growth

Project Growth is a new juvenile justice program being launched in Albany County. The purpose of this restorative justice based program is to create a system through which crime victims can be made whole for financial loss in an efficient and effective manner. The program has three primary goals:

  • Hold youth accountable for their actions
  • Increase percentages of restitution paid to crime victims
  • Prevent recidivism by teaching youth marketable skills

Evaluation & Research

CHSR’s evaluation of Project Growth will consist of both a process and an outcome study. The process study will assess program implementation to offer formative feedback and document practice to allow for program replication. The outcome evaluation will examine if and to what extent the program meets its three primary goals. CHSR will collect quantitative and qualitative data, including program records, court records, and surveys and interviews of program participants and project partners.
