As a first-generation student/immigrant, higher education has been a life changing experience. Therefore, talking to students and families about the opportunities UAlbany has to offer is always a privilege. Some of my favorite things about Albany is its close proximity to so many great things such as the Adirondack Park, Ski Mountains, and lakes. I am also an avid UAlbany lacrosse fan! Go Great Danes!

UAlbany has been more than a job; it's been a fulfilling adventure that has spanned over 20 years. I thrive on the daily interactions with students and their family members, discovering the richness of their diverse backgrounds. It has been an honor to play a small part in thousands of students’ academic journeys. Witnessing their success beyond graduation fills me with tremendous pride. While I only have one child, I have enjoyed being a “UAlbany mom” to many.

I recently graduated from UAlbany with a bachelor's degree in public policy. During my time as a student, I discovered my interest in higher education through on campus leadership opportunities. My previous on campus experiences include time with Student Activities and Orientation, Student Engagement and as a Peer Advisor in the Academic Support Center. I am currently working toward a Masters Degree in Higher Education.

I’m a native of Livingston County, NY but I’ve been part of the UAlbany family for 20+ years and have seen so many students flourish here then move on to successful careers. The Capital District has so much to offer, both professionally and recreationally. I enjoy the proximity to great skiing as well as the four Greek festivals in the area between May and September!

My favorite part of the UAlbany campus is our state-of-the-art ETEC building; the home of Engineering, Atmospheric Science, and Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security & Cybersecurity programs. University at Albany has become a leader in these areas and as a result, we are attracting students from across the globe.

I’m so lucky to be in the UAlbany orbit again! Our campus is truly my happy place. I met my partner and some of my best friends in the whole world here. It’s a great place to be social and it’s a great place to learn. It’s also a great, but low-key, food city. If you’re looking for a good sandwich, try DiBella’s or Cardona’s. They never disappoint!

As a two-time alumna of the University at Albany, I had the privilege of calling the Capital Region my home for a decade. It is where I have developed strong connections with colleagues, students, and friends. I am fortunate to have returned to my roots on Long Island as our regionally based Admissions Counselor, which, gives me the opportunity to be closer to our prospective students and their families. I take great pride in our institution, and my dedication lies in assisting students throughout their college admissions journey.

I love taking advantage of everything the Albany area has to offer, from the great restaurants to hiking in the Adirondack or Catskill Mountains, and sporting events downtown at the MVP Arena. The UAlbany campus is always full of activity, and a place where students can pursue their extracurricular interests, while engaging with scholarship at the highest level.

UAlbany has such a vibrant community and I enjoy walking around campus and seeing how active everyone is.  The Student Union provides fantastic meeting places, great food options and it always seems to be busy!  My favorite part of the greater Albany region is that you can have the best of all things in a city or in a small town within 10 minutes of campus.  From Concerts and D1 Sports to Farmers Markets and great Golf Courses, this region keeps me entertained and on the go.

I am a native of the Capital Region, hailing from Niskayuna, NY and a proud two-time alum of the University. What I love most about the University at Albany is all the involvement and intercultural opportunities that are available for all students, faculty, and staff members. The Albany area itself has so much to offer, but my favorite is going to Indian Ladder Farms to go apple picking during the Fall months. The proximity to the Adirondack and Catskill mountains also provides a host of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors of Upstate New York!

The Capital Region has a lot to offer in terms of art, culture, food, and entertainment. I enjoy taking walks, reading, visiting small businesses in the area, and pampering my cats.
