Math 511 studies the theoretical foundations of Calculus. We will study the properties of the Natural numbers, the integers, and then construct the real numbers. Then we study the properties of continuous functions, the derivative and the integral. This course is specially recommended for teachers of Calculus. Prerequisits: Undergraduate Calculus and Abstract Algebra. Your grade for the course will be based on 4 in class exams, plus presentation of assigned homework.
