DR. THEODORE H. FOSSIECK SCHOLARSHIP: APPLICATIONS OPEN TODAY!

If you, as a Milne School alumnus, alumna, or faculty member, have a direct descendant attending or planning to attend the University at Albany as an undergraduate for the upcoming school year, application may be made for the Dr. Theodore H. Fossieck Scholarship here beginning on December 15, 2020, for the 2021-2022 scholarship cycle. If you have any questions, please contact Bill Brooking, Director of Scholarships, Office of Financial Aid, at 518-442-5478 or [email protected].

"Established by Dr. Theodore H. Fossieck, former Principal of the Milne School and member of the Education faculty, the purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a descendant of a Milne School graduate or of a Milne School faculty member.... The scholarship will be awarded to the first eligible person to apply during the application period, providing the recipient meets admissions standards." Please note that if sufficient funds are available, there may be more than one recipient.

TARA VanDERVEER TIES AS WINNINGEST WWOMEN'S NCAA DIVISION I BASKETBALL COACH

From former Milne Basketball Coach Bob Lewis: "Tara VanDerveer, former Milne student (Class of '71) and in the Milne School Hall of Fame, is the Women's Basketball Coach at Stanford University. On Sunday night she recorded her 1,098th victory to tie Pat Summitt as the winningest Women's NCAA Division I Basketball Coach in history. If her team wins on Tuesday night (tonight, December 15th), she will break the record and will be the all-time winningest coach. For those interested, the game will be televised at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2. Quite an accomplishment for our former Milne Student!
