FACEBOOK

If you haven't joined the Facebook Milne Alumni Group, you're missing some "fun" conversations, photo uploads, and lots of memories. If you are already a member of Facebook, just type "Milne School Alumni" (without the quotation marks) in the search field; click on the "Milne School Alumni" option that results; and when you reach the Group, click on the option to join.

SENIOR ROOM

From Mark LEWIS, '64: "While I have a lot of good memories about the Senior room, the one that sticks in my mind is sitting there on November 22, 1963, and hearing that President Kennedy had died. There were lots of tears flowing and a lot of disbelief. I think it finally sunk in when I began to walk home and saw the American flag at Albany High School at half mast."

From Susan SLAWKY Boivin: "My fondest memory of the senior room was the day Beth Rudolph brought in a new album. It was by some new band called Elton John. I played it on the record player over and over and over."

MYSTERY SOLVED?

From Susan SLAWSKY Boivin: "I believe the bronze plaque hung at the back of the auditorium (Page Hall). The relief of Aurora was on the wall near the art room, outside of the auditorium. I loved that! I could be imagining, but those places came to mind immediately." (See July 2011 Newsletter for the "mysteries.")

CLASS OF '66 "MINI-REUNION"

From Anita HARRIS, '66: "In June, to celebrate the 45th anniversary of our Milne Graduation, Val CHEVRETTE, Joyce CAREY Methelis, Greg ROBINSON, Ginny BEARUP Skorupsi, Denny STEVENS, Jim GEWIRTZMAN (who organized the evening), and I had dinner at New World Bistro Bar, followed by ice cream at Emack & Bolio's...then MORE ice cream at my mom's, on Shaker Road in Albany. Liz SCHEER and Paul SCHRODT had hoped to come but were both taken ill. We're hoping to see them and the rest of our classmates soon-well before our (gulp) 50th!!!!"

1961 YEARBOOK AVAILABLE?

One of my classmates lost his yearbook. If you have a 1961 yearbook that you no longer want or need, please let me know. Thanks in advance!
