HOPING NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS!

If I don't receive alumni news, there's nothing but obituaries for me to post. So if you have some good news to share, please let me know, whether it's personal news, an achievement or award for you or a family member, an upcoming class reunion...anything you believe alumni would enjoy reading about. I hope that the March newsletter will include lots of good news!

WEBSITE REMINDER!

The University at Albany has been kind enough to provide webspace for our Milne Alumni website at https://www.albany.edu/~milne/ A very useful link on our website will take you to the Milne School Digital Collections. Of particular interest are our Milne yearbooks and newspapers, all of which are searchable. If you have lost your yearbook, want to view yearbooks from other classes, or want to reminisce by reading Crimson and White newspapers, be sure to check out our website.

In the June 23, 1961, issue of the Crimson and White (the last edition of my senior year) was this article:

"There are five senior high girls who have a very special distinction. They are the sole possessors of M.G.A.A. honor pins of girls now at Milne. These girls, Sue Crowley, Joan Kallenbach, Judy Koblintz, Judie Margolis, and Carol Ricotta can tell you the effort it takes. To get an honor pin in your senior year requires participating in all the intramural sports from 7th grade right on up. To get it in your junior year means that you've got to participate in all after school activities, plus extras for which you can get extra credits, which really add up. These include Red Cross swimming instruction, 15 hours of horseback riding, M.G.A.A. Council and Cheerleading. So start adding up your credits now and try for the magic number '30' and an honor pin." After all these years, my MGAA pin is still in my jewelry box.
