      SCOPE:

            In 1926 the American-Russian Cultural Association of New York began collecting pamphlets, booklets, brochures, and other ephemeral material produced in Russia and other countries dealing with "all facets of development of the Soviet Union during the first 40 years of its existence." This collection was deposited in the New York University Library in 1964. Readex Microprint has duplicated more than 1,000 items from this collection dealing with the Soviet Union's relations with other countries form 1917-1956. Most of the material was produced in Russia; three-quarters of it is in English.
