      SCOPE:

            Under the guidance of the Historical Division of the European Command, a group of former German generals prepared "the definitive history of the organization and functioning of the German Army High Command for the years 1938 through 1945." Forty-seven former Oberkommando officers, including 12 lieutenant generals, 4 major generals, and 9 brigadier generals, were interviewed about the command structure of the German Army in World War II, the military decisions, the political rivalries, intelligence and counter-intelligence activities, and other matters.
            The English translation is reproduced.
