Dr. Mabuse, a sinister mesmerist/psychiatrist, toys with the weaknesses of the rich and influential and devises a devilishly ingenious blackmail scheme. Called "the grand-daddy of all criminal mastermind films," DR. MABUSE provides a near-documentary peek at the sort of perverse delights available to the underworld of Germany in 1922.
