CWGCS Research

CWGCS research addresses the status and needs of women and girls, and makes recommendations on policy actions to improve their status. Our research agenda complements our programming, and is designed to reflect the needs of women, children and families at the state, national and global levels.

CWGCS professional staff come from the fields of Africana Studies, Public Administration, Public Health, Education and Media Studies, and our research approach reflects these diverse perspectives.

Project Sponsors include: The National Institutes of Health, The U.S. Department of Education, New York State Department of Education, New York State Department of Health, New York State Department of Labor, New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance, the New York State Assembly, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecolgists and the Workforce Development Institute.
