Freshman Campus Housing

All freshman students are required to live on campus for their first two years, unless they qualify for exemption. Housing assignments are determined by your housing application date of receipt, including any special interest housing and/or roommate requests. Please Note: Not all roommate requests can be honored.

Housing Amenities

Living on campus is a great way to get involved, meet people and be close to campus resources. Freshman students are housed on either State, Indian, Colonial, or Dutch Quads, space permitting. For each student there is an extra long twin bed, mattress, desk and chair, and dresser. All of our residence halls have wireless internet connections; in addition, each student is assigned an Ethernet connection and a cable jack. Each suite on these four quads has a hard-wired phone that can be used only to call the University 911 system or other locations on campus. For more information on amenities, please visit the Residential Life website.

Dining Services

A Residential Meal Plan is required for all students living in the residence halls. For changes to your meal plan or more information please visit Dining Services.

Freshmen who reside in residence halls are not permitted to register cars on campus. Please visit Parking and Mass Transit Services for more details. All students can ride both the University buses and many of the city bus routes for free, with their ID Card.
