Taxation

The one-year M.S. in Taxation program is designed to educate students in the methodology of tax research and to help students develop the ability to analyze and interpret tax law, regulations, cases and related material. The program is designed to meet the growing need and demand for tax advisors, consultants, and executives to deal with complex tax considerations involved in virtually every business and financial transaction. This program attracts students from a variety of backgrounds including CPAs, attorneys, financial advisors, government agents, private industry professionals, and recent college graduates. This challenging program offers courses in state and interstate taxation, corporate taxation, partnership taxation, and estate and gift taxation. The School of Business, in collaboration with Albany Law School, offers students the option of taking a tax law course each semester at Albany Law School to satisfy part of the curricular requirements.

M.S. in Taxation (1-Year) 

The Master’s in Taxation program enables students who have earned a B.S. in Accounting or a B.S; in Business with an accounting major to complete NYS CPA education requirements in one year. It is designed to meet the growing need and demand for tax advisors, consultants, and executives to deal with complex tax considerations involved in virtually every business and financial transaction.
