Applicants to programs in the School of Public Health must submit their application through SOPHAS (www.sophas.org). Only those applicants who are advised by SPH to apply directly to the University at Albany's Office of Graduate Education may use the Apply Now! link available to the left of this page. While the Fall deadline is advertised as rolling, please contact the School of Public Health at [email protected] to determine if applications are still being accepted on a space available basis. Spring applications are accepted for the biomedical sciences and environmental health sciences concentrations, or for students who have first completed our Certificate in Public Health Fundamentals and Principles.
Prior UAlbany students must order an official transcript to be sent to SOPHAS.
One semester college Algebra or higher (statistics recommended in addition).One Semester of Biology is required for Biomedical Sciences, Environmental Health and Epidemiology concentrations. Two Semesters of Chemistry are required for Biomedical Sciences and Environmental Health concentrations.
Applications for Carson-Carr must be received by January 15. Applications for Axelrod and Hearst Fellowships must be received by February 1.
Please note: This program requires an internship, field experience, study abroad component, or clinical experience requirement. Students who have previously been convicted of a felony are advised that their prior criminal history may impede their ability to complete the requirements of certain academic programs and/or to meet licensure requirements for certain professions.
