The University of Albany offers 30 diverse graduate certificate programs in areas ranging from education administration, economic forecasting and geographic information systems to non-profit management, library science and public health. You’ll have access to modern “smart” classrooms and highly sophisticated research facilities, be guided by renowned faculty and work alongside an internationally diverse group of fellow students who will challenge, inspire and engage you.
UAlbany offer three types of programs with varying requirements to meet your needs: Graduate Certificates, Advanced Graduate Certificates and Certificates of Advanced Study. And, we give you the flexibility to pursue these programs online, in a traditional classroom setting, or through a combination of both — whatever fits your needs and goals.
UAlbany’s graduate certificate programs are short, intensive, highly focused programs of study designed to give you advanced skills in a particular subject or area of specialized expertise. Credits for many of these certificates can be applied toward your graduate studies at our university.
You may work toward a certificate in addition to pursuing your master’s or doctoral degree, or you may enroll in stand-alone certificate programs for your personal or professional development. Many of our programs do not require admissions tests, such as the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), unless you’re seeking admission to a related master’s program.
