Biological Sciences is one of the fastest growing areas of human knowledge and technology. This growth impacts on many areas from basic knowledge of biological systems to practical applications in medicine, the environment, forensic science, human behavior, and many other areas.
In the Department of Biological Sciences, students are taught and mentored by faculty who are known world-wide. Each of the 26 full-time faculty and 3 full-time lecturers has a strong background in teaching and research, and, after earning their PH.D., has received additional, post-doctoral training at a prestigious university. Students learn modern approaches to biology and can participate in strong research programs in active, modern research laboratories.
