        <p>The Institute for Health and the Environment was created with the primary purpose of promoting and supporting interdisciplinary research and grants in the broad area of environment and public health among both professional researchers and students.</p>

        <p>Members of our department presently includes faculty from several schools and colleges of the University at Albany and other local universities and medical centers.</p>
