UAlbany's Department of Residential Life seeks to provide students with a fun and safe learning environment that helps students achieve their academic and career goals. Options abound for on-campus housing, numerous types of meal plans as well as resources for students who want to live off-campus.

On-Campus Housing

With a mix of traditional student housing, suite-style living and apartments, UAlbany hosts eight distinctive residence halls for undergraduates with amenities ranging from fitness centers to full services cable and wireless internet access.

UAlbany also several living-learning communities designed to help new students meet like-mined students, where you live in the same residence halls, take some of the same classes or share intended majors.

Off-Campus Housing

For students living off-campus, UAlbany has created a free housing registry service to provide students up-front with rental information and contract details. You can also connect with other students who are seeking roommates or sign up to be notified when rentals matching what you are looking for become available.

What's more, students can set up 'podium points' on their SUNYCard, which can be used at more than 40 off-campus businesses, including restaurants, pharmacies and gas stations.
