Department of Health and Sustainability



Zachary Fisher is a Junior from Wading River, New York majoring in Psychology and minoring in Business. Zachary began his work in SA during February of his Sophomore year. After being promoted to Associate Director, Zachary was again promoted to the position of Director. Now that The Health and Sustainability Department has been around for over a year, Zachary hopes to make sure students voices are being heard by the campus when it comes to sustainability and health issues.

Outside of the Student Association, Zachary is very involved in Theta Chi Social Fraternity. A member since his second semester Sophomore year. He is a founding father of The Albany Colony of Theta Chi. He also serves as the Philanthropy Chair of the fraternity for its 2018-19 school year. Aside from his Greek organization, Zachary is also a member of The American Marketing Association, a group tasked with training and preparing students for a career in Marketing. Finally, Zachary is a Monster Campus Ambassador, tasked with hosting great events for students throughout the year

As the Director of Health and Sustainability, Zachary’s goal is to connect the department with the school’s other administrative groups in order to make sure change is happening on a large scale. In conjunction with the SUNY Chancellor's strategic plan focusing on sustainability initiatives, Zachary hopes to help transform the University at Albany into a healthier and more sustainable campus that future generations can enjoy and hold pride in

Post-graduation, Zachary Plans to begin a career in either Marketing or Event Planning.
