Alumni Sharing Expertise: A Free Continuing Education Workshop

The Learning From Alumni continuing education workshop series, where School of Social Welfare alumni are the presenters, returns this spring semester with a panel discussion. This free workshop, titled Fundraising in the Not-For-Profit Sector, will be slightly different as it will also include alumni from other UAlbany programs to complete the panel. This 90-minute workshop will provide individuals with tips and tools on how to build a communications plan to raise money for, and increase attention about an agency or organization. Attendees will also receive an overview on how to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors, as well as how to establish and build relationships with grant-making organizations.

This panel discussion, co-sponsored by UAlbany’s Nonprofit University and The Institute for Nonprofit Leadership and Community Development, will be held on the UAlbany Downtown Campus (135 Western Avenue, Albany NY 12222 in Milne 200) on Tuesday, February 4th from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. It is open to the community and there is no cost for the 1.5 continuing education credits, approved for NYS Licensed Social Workers only. Registration is required.
