Stephanie Carnes, LL.M., LCSW, Ph.D. Candidate, focuses on well-being, resilience, and identity in Latine immigrant and refugee youth. Her dissertation seeks to better understand the identity messaging received by Latine immigrant youth in public schools, specifically as related to processes of bicultural identity development. She also works to research and develop strengths-based interventions to facilitate culturally responsive school social work, as well as culturally responsive schooling in general.
