National Association Social Work (NASW)

The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) is the largest membership organization of professional social workers in the world, with 132,000 members.  NASW works to enhance the professional growth and development of its members, to create and maintain professional standards, and to advance sound social policies.

You may recognize NASW for it's Code of Ethics, which is the guide and standards to which social workers in the United States are held.  Interested in learning more about the Code of Ethics? Click here to read the current version, which was first approved by the 1996 NASW Delegate Assembly and then revised by the 2008 NASW Delegate Assembly.

The current NASW president is our own Dean Darrell Wheeler, PhD, ACSW, MPH.
