As a primary care physician I am interested in developing public health skills to try to expand my impact on the health of my community beyond the examination room. The online MPH program at the University at Albany allows me to develop the needed skills without having to disrupt my clinical work schedule. At the same times it allowed me to be a part of a renowned public institution with in-state tuition costs. The online MPH program enables me to pursue my academic goals at my own pace without compromising the balance between work, educational, and family commitments.
Interactions in the virtual classroom with fellow students of different backgrounds and with educators are very stimulating , enriching and motivating. Asynchronous communications allow the learner to engage in the education process whenever and wherever his/her schedule allows.
I believe the online MPH program is a good fit for any student interested in expanding his/her horizons in the field of public health while maintaining full-time employment or other commitments.
