What are your post-graduation plans?
My goal is to become an immigration attorney, so my next step is going to law school.

What accomplishment are you most proud of during your time at Rockefeller?
English is not my first language, and I did not know much about American Politics before studying at Rockefeller. Therefore, I am thrilled that I was able to earn a great GPA under these challenging circumstances.

Who was your most impactful mentor at Rockefeller?
Professor Ingram was my academic adviser, and also my professor for four classes. Therefore, not only I have earned a lot about laws and American politics with him, but he also helped, guided, and advised me throughout my whole academic experience. In addition, he has lived in Brazil, so he had a better understanding of my challenges.

What’s the best piece of advice you’d give to those still in school?
My best piece of advice is to explore and define your career path as soon as possible. When you have a goal, and you are determined to achieve it, studying hard makes sense. It keeps you focused and driven. If you do not know what you want to do still, you can take the one-credit class Thinking Ahead: Careers in Political Science and Public Policy.
