NYS Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul To Deliver Keynote at CWGCS Fellows' Graduation

New York State Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul will be the keynote speaker at the University at Albany's Center for Women in Government & Civil Society's 33rd Annual Commencement, Tuesday, June 30 at 6:30 p.m. on the downtown campus in Milne Hall, Room 200. 

The ceremony will celebrate the graduation of 13 Fellows on Women & Public Policy from a rigorous program that prepares them for leadership in public policy.  UAlbany President Robert Jones and a cadre of university and community leaders will also be in attendance. The event is free and open to the public. Registration is required. Register now.

The Center for Women in Government & Civil Society (CSWGCS) is part of Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy at the University at Albany. CWGCS seeks to deepen and broaden political access and economic opportunities for women by strengthening the capacity of government, nonprofit and business sectors to implement gender-responsive, inclusive and equitable policies, practices and services. The fellowship is a six-month, rigorous, and multi-faceted leadership development program for graduate students and mid-level professionals. It is designed to provide a springboard for aspiring women leaders to pursue careers in public policy while increasing the capacity of New York State government and civil society.
