About Professor Stohler

Stephan Stohler, JD, PhD is an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science. His research and teaching interests are in the areas of public law and comparative politics, with a particular focus on the politics of constitutional interpretation. He is currently working on a book manuscript that examines how courts alter affirmative action policies to redistribute political power in India, South Africa and the United States. At Rockefeller, Dr. Stohler teaches courses in public law. Dr. Stohler earned his PhD in Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and BA from the University of Washington.
